Cashmore Golf Design was founded over 30 years ago, when Tony Cashmore, an already successful international architect with a passion for golf, saw a need for professionally-designed golf courses which respect site values. At a time when residential golf course estates and resort projects were developing rapidly, Tony wished to create beautiful, natural, high-quality courses, integrating them seamlessly both within supporting developments and their natural surrounds.

Today, the values that gave Tony Cashmore his distinctive approach to landscape architecture continue to be more in demand than ever, both in Australia and overseas. Under Tony’s direction, Cashmore Golf Design has successfully designed or redesigned over 70 golf courses around the world, and assisted dozens of Clubs and public golf operators with small-scale improvements to their courses. Many major projects have involved the integration of high-quality golf courses within residential or resort contexts – courses that have proven to be financially rewarding for the owners as well as being rated amongst the top venues in the country.

Cashmore Design has the experience and the expertise to advise not only in all aspects of golf development, but also in Masterplanning for resorts, residential developments and open spaces. We enjoy a high success rate in undertaking total site planning as well as achieving approvals for integrated golf developments – saving clients significant time and expense in pursuing a financially prudent project.

Staff

CGD currently employs 15 senior staff in its operations in Australia, Vietnam, China, South Korea and the United States. Our staff has diverse educational qualifications including Landscape Architecture, Building Architecture, Environmental Science, Town Planning, Economics, Finance and Business Administration. Many of our staff are trained to perform multiple roles. This provides us with a deeper resource pool from which we can draw upon to meet client requirements.

Cashmore Golf Design is a multi-disciplinary team with experience in all aspects of golf course and resort masterplanning, design and construction, and includes the ‘hands on’ involvement of our Principals. Our Team members include:
